This manual is a guide and basic reference for firefighting teams and other personnel engaged in fire prevention, firefighting and rescue procedures at military establishments in theaters of operations. It covers the policies and procedures, equipment, characteristics and chemistry of fire, tactics and techniques of firefighting, first aid, rescue and fire prevention.
This course is concerned primarily with structural, aircraft, petroleum and nuclear weapon fires. But also discusses explosive, motor-vehicle and natural cover fires. The material contained herein is applicable to both nuclear and non nuclear warfare.
