This course provides planting design guidelines for preserving and improving the quality of the visual environment; prescribes standard practices and techniques for planting and initial care of plant materials; and includes guidance for the selection and establishment of turf.
The criteria and planting design guidance in this course is generally applicable for all installations.
However, each installation should develop planting plans tailored to the specific landscape project. In addition to general design guidance, this course describes planting techniques and methods for the successful establishment of plants. Factors which are critical in the selection of turfgrass are discussed; these include site evaluation, proposed use of the site and required maintenance.
