This course provides guidance on how to improve the quality of materials and processes used in the construction of highway projects and reduce the life-cycle costs for the facilities involved. It explains the contractor’s fulfillment of quality control inspection, sampling, and testing. It also explores the resident engineer’s inspection, sampling, and testing to verify that the contractor’s quality control inspection, sampling, and testing comply with specifications.
By the end of this course, the participant should have an understanding of quality control, quality assurance, independent assurance, dispute resolution, and acceptance and payment.
